Soldiers of the American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) 302nd Field Signal Battalion, are divided into two teams, standing side-by-side on a lawn near a substantial building somewhere in France, during World War 1. At a signal from an officer, the commence a relay race, with each team member in turn, running with a white cloth.
