Sailors capture an Antarctic Ross Seal and lift it aboard a ship in a cargo net. Northwind cuts free the strangled USS Mount Olympus and other Navy vessels from the ice, and the Supplyship Merrick (AKA-97) which has suffered ruptures and taken on water.
