U.S. Army 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment executes airborne jump into snow

A stick of soldiers from Company B of the U.S. Army 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment stand beside a Douglas C-47 Skytrain. The soldier's jump gear is inspected before boarding. The jumpmaster commands the men to stand up, and the soldiers fasten their chute strap to the anchor cable of the plane, as described by the narrator. Eighteen men jump with white silk parachutes. Equipment bundles with dark-colored chutes drop alongside the men, carrying skis and guns. A variety of shots show the parachutists landing in snow. The parachutists free themselves from their spilled chutes and trod through snow toward their equipment bundles. Wearing white camouflage uniforms, they unpack their supplies and ski off in a group.
