Lend Lease materials transported across the world by convoys of American and British ships in World War II
Opening scene shows Lend Lease military equipment covered with canvas, at a port in the United States, during World War 2. A B-26 bomber with wings removed outboard of its engines, is being maneuvered for shipment at a port in the United States. A Lockheed P-38 airplane is moved on a crane and then rolled along a pier toward the stern of the U.S. Light Cruiser, USS Phoenix (CL-46) which is docked there. Wings of a Curtiss SOC-1 Seagull scout plane can be seen on the Phoenix. Two more P-38 aircraft are rolled along the pier, past another Brooklyn class Light Cruiser at the end of the pier. (Her triple 6-inch gun turrets are noticeable.) Crated supplies are seen being lowered into ship cargo holds. An American M2 light tank being lowered from a crane. Kennedy and Republican nominee U.S. Vice President Richard Nixon in New York, United States on 21st October 1960. ABC news correspondent Quincy Howe speaks prior to the fourth Kennedy-Nixon presidential debate. Senator Kennedy says he agrees with the policy of Eisenhower's administration regarding the Formosa Strait (Taiwan). He speaks about Communist influence of Cuban Prime Minister Fidel Castro on Latin Americans which is becoming a threat for the United States. Kennedy also mentions Communist Russians broadcasting ten times as many programs in Spanish to Latin America as the United States does. He talks about technical assistance given to Africa by the United States. He speaks about future of increasing communist influence in world. Kennedy mentions Liberia and the Union of South Africa who voted with America on the question of admission of Red China in the United Nations. Senator Kennedy speaks about Communist influence increasing in the world and relates to it by saying that there are six counties in Africa that are members of the United Nations and there is not a single American diplomatic representative in any of these six. He further speaks about military progress of Communist nations.

UN Charter signed in San Francisco Conference; President Harry S. Truman addressing General Assembly; Franklin Roosevelt speech about peace
Delegates arrive in San Francisco for United Nations Conference for World Organization in San Francisco, California. U.S. President Truman arrives by airplane at the conference and is met by representatives from U.S. delegation including Stettinius. Delegates from other countries are also present and greet the President including Jan Smuts of South Africa and William Lloyd Mackenzie King of Canada. Views of presidential motorcade traveling through streets of San Francisco in a parade-like environment, with crowds lining the sidewalks and cheering. Delegates sign the United Nations Charter during the conference. First to sign is Dr. Wellington Koo from China, signing with a traditional Chinese brush. Also shown signing is Gromyko from the Soviet Union, Lord Halifax from Great Britain, and the delegation from France led by acting delegation chairman Joseph Paul-Boncour. Next is Edward Stettinius and Senator Tom Connally, Senator Arthur Vandenberg, Commander Harold Stassen, from the United States. U.S. President Harry S. Truman addresses the general assembly. Flashback to President Franklin D Roosevelt, shortly before his death, addressing Congress about the coming San Francisco Conference. Roosevelt speaks, expressing his hope that Congress and the American People would "accept the results of this conference as the beginning of a permanent structure of peace, upon which we can begin to build, under God, that better world in which our children and grandchildren -- yours and mine - children and grandchildren of the whole world -- must live and can live."

Zulu warriors emerge from savanna grass to attack a neighboring tribe. Tribes people run away from Zulu warriors. Zulu warriors breach through tribe’s mud walls. Tribesman shoots an arrow. Tribesman uses smoking wood to poke through mud wall and attack invading warriors. Tribesmen run and hide from invading warriors. A warrior snatches a baby from mother. Livestock, cattle and goats, run away from warriors. Zulu warriors walk out of the besieged village with captured villagers. Two children hide from warriors in grass. Captured villagers are made to sit by invaders. An African man with wooden slave yoke. African villagers are fitted into wooden slave yokes and chains. An African mother breastfeeds her baby. African warriors force the captured villagers to watch their village burn. An African man cowers in fear, his wrists are bound together with rope. Newly captured African villagers, in wooden slave yokes, along with ivory elephant tusks, walk a straight line while following a Zulu warrior.
