Konstantin Hierl, leader of the Reichs Arbeit Dienst (RAD), which is the German National Labor Service, is seen in RAD uniform, during World War 2. He watches as several young German women demonstrate how they operate an antiaircaft battery. Scene shifts to Konstantin Hierl decorating a member of the RAD. Snow is on the ground. Members of the Wehrmacht (Army) form an honor guard.
Views of destroyed German town. German soldiers view destruction and bodies of civilian casualties and interior of home looted by Soviet troops during World War II. German officers interview survivors about event. An official announcement about woman named Erna Hitseforn winning the Iron Cross. She poses with several German officers who hold the announcement. Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels arrives from Berlin to visit troops in defensive positions on the Oder River. He is briefed by German Infantry General and observes troops firing machine guns and artillery. A German supply train carrying troops and war materiel is seen. On board are German StuG III Assault Guns and armored half tracks of the Waffen-SS. German infantry get down from trucks in a town and take up defensive positions. Soviet tanks are seen approaching and German tanks and grenadiers respond quickly. Destroyed Russian tanks and artillery in the field. German StuG III's and Panther tanks firing. Smoke arises from the burning Russian tanks.

Scene switches to Hitler at a podium in the Wald stadium (Waldstadion) in Frankfurt am Main. Flags are flying at half mast in memory of fallen Sturmabteilung (SA) members. Audience applauds when Hitler tells them he can only promise their struggle will go on, come what may. Many children are seen seated on the ground. As Hitler finishes his remarks, SA rise and form protective line through which Hitler walks as he leaves the podium.
A trailer pulls Linzer boats. German soldiers push the boat into the water. Several of the Linzer explosive laden boats traveling at high speed. As the boat approaches the target, the operator locks the wheel and jumps from the explosive laden boat. Linzer boat strikes a bridge and explosion occurs. (World War II period).
