Excerpts from 24 August, 1945 (World War II) military commission tribunal in Dachau. Swearing in of translator and charges read against Franz Strasser for: "Violation of the Laws and Usages of War. In that on or about 9 December 1944, FRANZ STRASSER, Kreisleiter of Kreis Kaplitz, an Austrian National, did at or near Kaplitz, Czechoslovakia, wrongfully and unlawfully kill an American airman, whose name, rank and serial number are unknown, [by shooting him with a machine pistol]. Strasser replies with a plea of not guilty. Next scene shows entry of German civilian truck driver, Josef Pusch, who is sworn in and provides testimony about the incident. Pusch describes the events of the shooting of the American prisoners by Strasser. United States flag and judges on raised platform. U.S. officials, defendants and civilians in the court room. Shows hearing as it begins. The Nazi commandant seated with other officials. The German civilian is questioned by an interpreter. German civilian Pusch identifies Strasser. Pusch gives his account to the tribunal about the shooting of the American flyers.

The German Derby is run at the Horner racecourse in Hamburg, in 1915, during World War I

Despite wartime, the famous German derby (Deutsches Derby) race is run as usual,at the Horner racecourse (Horner Rennbahn) in Hamburg, during World War 1. Two German sportsmen chat as they sit on lawn chairs at the racecourse. They wear boots, and one has driving goggles on his hat and smokes a cigar. Two uniformed German Army officers are seen standing amongst the crowd. A section of grandstand with flags flying atop it, in the background. Scene shifts to what looks like thousands of spectators crowded between the grandstands and the racetrack. Horses seen leaving the paddock and entering the racetrack proper, with jockeys aboard and escorted by their owners or trainers. Closeup of American jockeys, George William Archibald at left and Fred Korb, at right, chatting with German racing enthusiasts before the start. View from the racecourse infield, as horses and riders pass the grandstands. View from the inside railing as they pass. At end of race, German Jockey Willy Plüschke, is seen riding the winning 3-year old, Pontresina, of the Richard Haniel Stables, toward the winner circle. (The prize is 125 thousand marks.)

U.S. medics and soldiers take victims of the Nordhausen concentration camp to ambulances.

At end of World War II, U.S. 101st Airborne Division troops carry items from Goering's art collection and load them into trucks

At the end of World War 2, U.S. soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division carry wooden sculptures and paintings, including the "Adam and Eve" oil painting by Franz Floris from 1550, out of Nazi German Hermann Goering's art bunker in the Wemholz area, and load them into a truck. Men walk into a building. Sign reads: "Hermann Goering's Art Collection through the Courtesy of 101st Airborne Division" Scene shifts to Hotel Hubertus in Unterstein. Guard at the entrance. Walter Andreas Hofer, Goring's Art Director, shows Nazi stolen artwork to Sgt Harold A Way, including Baroque Dutch painter Franz Hals' Portrait of a Man, possibly Willem van Warmondt, Rubens' portrait of his wife, and stolen paintings by Anthony van Dyck and Nicolaes Maes. Room filled with paintings and statues. U.S. Army truck arrives at the building, men get out of the truck and enter the building. U.S. military personnel unload paintings and statues and triptych altar, from a train onto the trucks. Virgin Mary statue at open door of the freight car.
