Major Otto Remer,Commander of the Berlin Guard Regiment, who prevented plotters from succeeding in bid to overthrow Hitler in World War 2. (Following the 20th July, 1944 bomb Plot, Hitler personally telephoned and ordered him to take charge of all troops in Berlin and apprehend conspirators.)
