Germans celebrate formation of the Weimar Republic after World War 1. Soldiers parade as spectators watch. Their new President, Friedrich Ebert, is escorted by a Berlin Police officer, and followed by two statesmen, as he prepares to address the crowd at the Lustgarten. They walk past the Berlin Cathedral, where a woman speaker stands, slightly above the crowd, next to a large effigy of a woman. The President and statesmen tip their hats as they are saluted by a military officer. Army troops are assembled in formation. Cavalry on horseback parade, as spectators watch from the park. Scene shifts to President Ebert delivering remarks to assembled soldiers and spectators.
Nazi officials and their guests visit the former Berlin Academy of Art and view Albert Speer's models for Welthauptstadt Germania, the "world capital" architectural plans that Hitler asked Speer to prepare, detailing the renewal of Berlin. Officials enter the former Academy of Art on Pariser Platz, draped with Nazi banners. They ascend the stairs and enter an exhibit room filled with Nazi officials. Adolf Hitler's personal Junkers Ju 52 airplane "Immelman II" lands at Tempelhof Airdrome, Berlin. German Hitler, Hermann Goering and other officials leave the airplane. As a band plays the National Anthem, Hitler reviews an honor guard of various contingents, including Hitler Youth (Their banners display the Germanic Sig-Rune "S" symbol). Berlin citizens line sidewalks and cheer as Hitler drives from the airport in an open car.
