A Taylor Cub airplane sits on a platform fastened to the top of an automobile. The car drives along a taxiway and as it gains speed, the airplane suddenly takes off steeply from the platform.
Two men load cargo into cabin of a aircraft (autogyro) that appears to obtain lift, from two coaxial counter-rotating large wings atop the craft. The "wings," or rotors, are very wide, and contain moveable flight surfaces (ailerons). Forward thrust is provided by an unenclosed radial engine driving a large propeller.
