The Archbishop, dressed in Army gear, conveys greetings to large group of soldiers gathered before the tent. Soldiers line up to kiss Archbishop's ring. Several women in uniform are among those meeting the Cardinal. Photographers take pictures. Cardinal Spellman, wearing traditional clerical vestments, conducts mass and administers the sacrament of holy communion to numerous soldiers.
