President Nixon disembarks from the plane. Supporters cheer for him and wave hands. President Nixon shakes hands with some people among the crowd and advances towards a helicopter for flight to the football stadium.

Old people among spectators eat during the match. Excited spectators cheer and raise banners. Some banners with Nixon written on them are seen at base of stands.

The first Selective Service lottery conducted in Washington, DC, on October 29, 1940, in the United States. An American Legion member, in uniform, poses with Mrs. Robert Bell and her son and a young woman (her daughter?) after her son's draft number (158) had been the first one drawn in the Washington DC Lottery. Dr. Baxter talks with Mrs. Bell and asks why she exclaimed out loud when the first number was drawn. Dr. Baxter gives her the capsule in which her son's draft number was contained. Views of the audience at the The Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium at 14th Street and Constitution Avenue, where the lottery was being conducted.
U.S. President Richard Nixon arrives inside the locker room to congratulate the players of victorious Texas team after they defeated Arkansas in a football game. President talks to press reporters and team manager inside the locker room. The University of Texas football team players rejoice and cheer for President Nixon. Their team manager expresses gratitude to President Nixon.
Film begins as Texas takes the field, wearing red warm-up jackets. Stadium appears filled to capacity. Numerous plays in the game are seen throughout the film. A banner draped over a front row railing, in the grandstand, cites 100th anniversary of the NCAA and reads:"Welcome President Nixon." Several police officers are seen in that vicinity. Scoreboard shows Arkansas ahead 14 to nothing (after third quarter). Numerous shots of the crowd in the stands, but none showing the President or his party. As the game nears the end, some spectators appear to be covering up because of a light rain. (Note: In the 4th quarter, Texas rallied to win the game 15 to 14.)
