View of downtown Danville, busy because it is auction time. Sign at a newspaper office reads: "The Bee, Founded 1899." Inside the shop, a printer reads a new edition of the paper with headline about "Opening Tobacco Sales." Open stake truck carries load of tobacco into Holland's Auction warehouse. Glimpse of auctioneer taking bids. Farmer takes a "lot" of tobacco in a wheelbarrow for weighing. Buyers gathered around a table, examine tobacco and bid as auctioneer chants.
