Immediately, they are joined by another Soviet General (also smoking a cigarette). The three converse, while standing next to staff cars. Several Chinese officers bid Chuikov farewell and he gets ready to enter a car in the foreground. Scene shifts to a city square where animal-drawn carts pass by a building with a Red Star on the roof and Russian writing across its top that reads: : "ОСВОБОПИТЕПЬНЦЕ" (Liberator).
