VE Day in Germany during World War 2. Soldiers of the U.S. Ninth Armored Division are seen leaving the the Schlörplatz in Weiden, Bavaria, where they assembled to hear the news, from their Commander, Major General John W. Leonard, that Germany had capitulated. Soldiers move their armor and equipment through the Town and others walk. They pass by a tree displaying numerous information and direction signs.
