British supply convoy from Alexandria to Malta is forced to turn around by relentless Axis air attacks in World War II

Film was made during the Battle of the Mediterranean in World War 2, when Britain was trying to defend supply convoys from Alexandria to Malta. The convoy shown was attacked by Axis planes and forced to return to Alexandria. An Arabian sail boat with a lanteen sail approaches the Destroyer, which secures it with a line and takes it in tow. View of sailboat in tow with sail furled and secured. A U.S. navy officer, with member of the Royal Party, discuss the tow line which is taut and visible several feet away from them over the water.
