Winners are recognized and receive their awards at the inaugural Greenbrier Professional-Amateur (Pro-Am) golf tournament at The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The golf tournament, later known as the Same Snead Festival, finished on April 19, 1948, and served also as a marquee reopening event for The Greenbrier Resort following its use as a U.S. military hospital in World War 2. Meigs holds a silver tray prize commemorating the event. Henry Cotton receives $1800 prize money ($1000 as the top finishing professional with a par 70 score, plus $800 for team competition). Four players stand together in front of the golf country club building then known as "The Casino." They include Railway industrialist Robert R. Young (host of the event), British filmmaker J Arthur Rank (a then business partner of Robert Young in their Eagle-Lion Films endeavor), Britain's Duke of Windsor, and former U.S. Senator Burton K Wheeler of Montana. Several scenes of the four men playing golf, including shots with the Duke of Windsor putting, with pipe in mouth, and J. Arthur Rank putting on the green.
Ben Hogan tees off in celebrity golf tournament that includes Bing Crosby and other notables. Bing Crosby has fun and jokes around, giving advice and pretending to have a lower score than he shot. He puts successfully and is applauded by his companions. We see numerous tee shots by players and aerial views of the course. Large number of spectators are present to watch the players in action.
The President's plane Air Force One arrives at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. Honor Guard stands at attention as John Kennedy's casket is carried out of plane and placed on a high-lift ramp. The lift is lowered and Honor Guard carries the casket to waiting ambulance. Mrs. Kennedy and Attorney General Robert Kennedy get off the lift and enter the ambulance to accompany the President's body to the White House. Ambulance is driven away.
After the assassination death of President Kennedy, and on arrival at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland: President Lyndon B Johnson and Mrs. Lyndon B Johnson walk on tarmac after debarking from the Air Force One aircraft at Andrews Air Force Base. They are met by military and civilian officials. The President walks over to microphones and speaks. President surrounded by military officials and is talking to them, and then he goes to the waiting helicopter with Mrs. Johnson while photographers take pictures.
