Ringling Barnum and Bailey circus clowns are seen cavorting about, near tents and riding on floats. Famous clown Emmett Kelly, doffs his hat from one of the floats. A trembling clown seen tight rope walking. Clowns bring out an "Adam Smasher" and put a clown inside and drop an object on his head. Men perform on a rope. Clowns laugh. Flash forward to Clown College in Venice, Florida where Bill Ballantine, famous ex-clown and Dean of Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus Clown College, addresses a group of aspiring applicants who want to become clowns. A group of people learning to become clowns. People make-up and dress like clowns and perform. Two clowns with Ringling Brothers, Victor Rutz and Herbert Ledesma speak to the show host about being clowns, the frequency of shows, and the challenge of keeping people laughing. They make-up the show host as a clown. Clip finishes with a short bit featuring Legendary Master Clown Lou Jacobs performing with his chihuahua, Knucklehead.
