Newsreel clip showing baseball great Babe Ruth exercising indoors during the winter of 1932. Title card says he is demanding $80,000 contract -- he would receive a reported $75,000 instead. Ruth, wearing shorts and sweatshirt, climbs on stationary cycle and begins pedaling as a man rides another cycle beside him. Camera pans down to Ruth's well-known skinny legs. Ruth looks at clock on wall, wipes sweat from his face. Next, Ruth sits in 1930s-style sauna box and takes a sauna with a towel over his head. Other man playfully shoves his head while he is inside the box. Same man later seen wearing boxing gloves and throwing several punches at Ruth's stomach. Ruth takes a few, then delivers a left-handed punch to the head that pushes the much smaller man away.

Nineteen year old, Henry Ellsworth Vines, of Pasadena California and opponent George Lott, Jr., of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, battle for 1931 National Tennis Championship at Forest Hills, New York on September 12, 1931, in the 51st U.S. Men's Singles Tennis championship match. They are seen entering the stadium before a capacity crowd, and shaking hands before the match. Views of several strokes and exchanges during the match. At the end, both players meet at the net,shake hands, and walk off the court together. Vines beats Lott (79 63 97 75). Vines poses with trophy.

A man holds two rockets. The one shown on the left with the white nose is a double rocket. (These were demonstrated for the Navy at Meppen.) Flag flying over a cabin (named "Arenshorst," by Reinhard Tiling) as rocket firing trials get underway on the island of Wangerooge in the North Sea,during December 1930. Reinhard Tiling emergea from the cabin, carrying a long slender rocket . His assistant Angela Buddenboehmer, and another man (possibly Richard Tiling) follow him across the sand dunes. Two photographers are present and several other men. Tiling inserts the rocket into a launch frame already set up. The team elevates the launcher and Tiling makes some adjustment. At a signal from Tiling, Angela Buddenboehmer pushes a plunger on the ignition control box and the rocket fires and rises. Reinhard Tiling, Buddenboehmer, and Richard Tiling watch it in the sky. Several more launches are shown. Pictures of rocket projectile missiles being launched at Dummersee on April 15, 1931, and of larger missiles at later times.
