Civil rights demonstrations, racial tensions, and school integration in America in the early 1960's.
African American men and women carry signs and demonstrate for equal rights outside a restaurant or store in the United States for civil rights. Jesse Jackson leads crowd in his "I am somebody" chant. A sign in the gathered crowd reads, "Jesse Jackson Black Jesus". Korean film depicts German Chancellor Adolf Hitler's plan of world conquest and shows montage of German military action scenes from World War II
After lenthy period of slates in Korean, the first images appear at TC: 01:52, as camera pans down over ruins at the front of the German chancellery in Berlin, Germany. A plaque in German identifies it as the Kanzlei des Führers der NSDAP (Chancellery of the Führer of the Nazi Party). Camera moves through various rooms of the building showing wreckage. In one room a world globe, a table and some broken furniture are shown. Scene changes to an animated map of Europe centered on Germany that depicts the dramatic expansion of German conquest in beginning of World War 2. It then shows further expansion with German invasion of the Soviet Union. From then on It adds a line directed to India (labeled in Russian) and another pointed into North America.The map then sends more lines covering the Continent of Africa and the South and Central America. Lend Lease materials transported across the world by convoys of American and British ships in World War II
Opening scene shows Lend Lease military equipment covered with canvas, at a port in the United States, during World War 2. A B-26 bomber with wings removed outboard of its engines, is being maneuvered for shipment at a port in the United States. A Lockheed P-38 airplane is moved on a crane and then rolled along a pier toward the stern of the U.S. Light Cruiser, USS Phoenix (CL-46) which is docked there. Wings of a Curtiss SOC-1 Seagull scout plane can be seen on the Phoenix. Two more P-38 aircraft are rolled along the pier, past another Brooklyn class Light Cruiser at the end of the pier. (Her triple 6-inch gun turrets are noticeable.) Crated supplies are seen being lowered into ship cargo holds. An American M2 light tank being lowered from a crane.
