International Athletic Meet between Hungry and Finland in Helsinki, Finland. Hungary's Iharos Sandor sets a new record of 3 minutes and 40.8 seconds in the 1500 meter run. Views of the stadium filled with spectators. The two Hungarians and two Finns running the 1500 meter event on the track. The victorious Hungarian, Sandor, being greeted at end of the event.
10,000 soldiers of United States 45th Infantry Division load their baggage into military trucks and bid good bye as they leave Fort Sill in Oklahoma. Troops move in trucks over a bridge as a plane flies overhead. People turn out in large numbers on streets to welcome the troops at their new headquarters in Abilene in Texas. Soldiers move to their tents. (World War II period).
An enactment shows a man ,Mr. X after having realized the importance of good telephone habits goes through newspaper,books and listens to radio broadcasts in order to learn to speak pleasantly. He observes how telephone calls are answered at various business organizations. He acquaints his staff members with new telephone habits for a better business. Scenes include the business man in his office with a female secretary standing by to take notes, scenes of the man in his living room chair, smoking a pipe and listening to his console radio, and scenes of the man in office settings.
An enactment shows a man,Mr. X discussing the after effects of adopting new telephone practices involving personal interest, on his business. Wrong telephone habits lead to adverse effects on the business whereas pleasant telephone habits reflecting personal interest of the employee in the caller helps build reputation of the company. Scenes include the man in his business office talking to his female secretary, and various scenes with the man speaking on the telephone to different parties. Also scenes of two women speaking on the phone, and a shop keeper in a general store.
