Recruits in white uniform stand saluting in the background. New young recruits arrive in a military truck. They get down from the vehicle with their baggage. A dramatization shows recruits looking around. They follow an officer. Potter from Kansas, wealthy Benson (actor George Reeves), and poor Dan introduce each other.
