1st Marine Division advance into Seoul Korea during fall of 1950 in Korean War. Traffic on a road in Seoul, Korea. People carry their belongings on a vehicle. Korean children stand by and watch as American forces drive in military vehicles in the city. A bulldozer is driven on a road. A group of new South Korean soldier recruits march wearing simple pants and no shirt. Next scene shows South Korean soldiers after training, in full uniform and marching in formation.

Man with a package "jay walks" across a street causing difficulty for drivers who must avoid him. He, in turn, rails at the drivers. Pedestrians on sidewalk look over unpaved roadway. Man, on upper porch of a building, looks out over cars driving on the street below. A woman cleans window of Hotel upon which "Hotel Dayton, Under New Management," is painted (presumably in Dayton, Ohio).

Troops in a unit of the 64th Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division of of the U.S. Army celebrate in France at the end of World War I. U.S. troops wait to hear the news of the Armistice. An officer receives a dispatch announcing the armistice and rushes to a camp. The troops gather to read about the armistice. Soldiers celebrate.. They jump and throw their caps in celebration. Soldiers read the armistice dispatch, one by one. The American troops greet local French farmers and pose with them. Back at their campsite, the troops relax. A small mascot dog is seen with them.
