U.S. aircraft in flight over the coastline. Signal Officer Lieutenant Leon Tinnell works at the Signal Headquarters. He talks on the radio receiver. He radios a message to U.S. Army General Douglas MacArthur's headquarters reporting on movement of Japanese troops. U.S. aircraft take off for a mission against the Japanese troops. They drop bombs on Japanese ships. Smoke from fire due to the explosions. A U.S. submarine near a battleship at sea. U.S. Navy sailors aboard the ship and the submarine. Wounded and sick officers and soldiers including Lt. Tinnell are transferred from the submarine onto the ship. Soldiers carry a comrade on a stretcher. World War II war crime trials in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Fifteen Germans come out of a prison gate. They are on a trial for killing seven U.S. airmen captured on Borkum Island after their aircraft crashed there on August 4, 1944. The prisoners, including both former German Army soldiers and Borkum Island civilian resdients, aboard a truck. Two armored cars escort the truck. They arrive at Ludwigsburg Palace. Sign over door reads "Borkum Island Court Room." The prisoners enter the courtroom in the palace. They take their seats. Seven United States judges seated in the court.

Bob Hope and members of his USO troupe ride on a PT boat during visit to entertain U.S. Navy personnel during World War 2. In opening scene, Bob Hope doffs his pith helmet as he strolls past the camera to climb aboard a PT boat (PT-331) of U.S. Navy Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron 21, where several naval officers greet him. Members of Hope's USO troupe, Patty Thomas, and Francis Langford, step from jeeps to board the PT boat. Next, the two are seen in the cockpit of the boat next to its captain, Lieutenant Kermit W. Montz, USNR, as the boat speeds along in the water. Among sailors occasionally glimpsed behind them is Radioman 1st Class bill Thielen. In change of scene, Bob Hope climbs out a hatch, holding onto his pith helmet to keep it from blowing off. The boat's number, 331 is clearly displayed on superstructure behind him.
