Funeral for U.S. President William Howard Taft in Washington, D.C. Casket containing the body of President Taft is taken to the U.S. Capitol Building via horse drawn carriage. The casket is carried up the steps of the capitol and placed in the rotunda for viewing. Crowds climb the steps of the capitol to to pay homage to President William Howard Taft. President Taft's body is brought to All Souls Church at 1500 Harvard St. for the family funeral.

The company built shells for shipment to Russia in World War I. Over 500,000 shells were destroyed in the blast and fire, bombarding the surrounding areas in Kingsland - Lyndhurst.
