Presidential yacht Potomac pulls near the dock in Miami, Florida. President Franklin D Roosevelt and others on board the yacht. He disembarks from Potomac as photographers take photographs of him.
World War 2, the Pacific Theater. A Japanese Kamikaze suicide plane (Lieutenant Yamaguchi's Yokosuka D4Y3, Type 33,) seen diving and crashing amidships into the United States aircraft carrier USS Essex (CV-9). It explodes with a huge fireball. The Essex quickly becomes engulfed in smoke.
