Chinese airmen board a U.S. troop carrier aircraft at Austin, Texas

United States and Chinese airmen at Bergstrom Field, Austin, Texas July 1946. The Neo-Classical building is the Texas State Capital at Austin, Texas and Austin Texas is noted on the graduate’s diploma “Bergstrom Field, Austin, Texas”. At this time the 349th Troop Carrier Group was based at Bergstrom and assigned to the Third Air Force, Tactical Air Command as noted on the diploma. Also “Air Force Combat Units of World War II” Edited by Maurer Maurer states this unit trained Chinese crews to operate C-46 aircraft. Film is very interesting in that it visually shows the transition from “Army brown to Air Force Blue” for the C-46s still carry the I TROOP CARRIER COMMAND insigne on the nose, with was disbanded on 4 Nov 1945 but they have the new AAF wide "Buzz Numbers" for all aircraft operating solely within the continental USA, by T.O. 07-1-1 of November 1945 and the graduate’s diploma is notating the new post-war air force type command reorganization of March 1946.

View of the dome and the Academic Building of Texas A&M University, in College Station, Texas. A group of boys gathered on the steps of the Academic Building are led in cheers by a leader. They tip and wave their hats. People stand beside a train at the railroad train station. Boys and young men from the Texas group are seen hanging out of the doors and windows of the train and waving as the train leaves the station. Boys from Texas look at cattle and horses at a farm in Kansas, inspecting the quality of the animals. Boys carry placards 'Texas farm boys'. A boy wearing a Texas arm band pats the side of a steer as he inspects it. Next scene is in Nebraska, showing a crop harvest at a farm, with a wheat harvesting machine in operation, and a horse drawn wagon from which a boy is throwing hay. A white sedan is driving to the left of the President's car..Both are driving at high speed toward the hospital. It was filmed by amateur Jack Daniel,using an 8mm motion picture camera and was among things reviewed by the U.S.House of Representatives, Select Committee on Assassinations, in its investigations.

Helen Mack wins the title "The American Beauty" in New York, United States.

Scenes from the "The American Queen of Beauty ' pageant in New York City, United States, in October 1934. (The "Miss America" pageant was not held in 1934 due to Great Depression financial troubles that affected the pageant in 1933. This "American Queen of Beauty" pageant was sponsored by Madison Square Garden, and held only this one time, in 1934). Contestants in swim suits move around the judges. The judges consisting of experts are seated on the center of the stage. Helen Mack, who was Miss New York State, is seen being given the title of American Queen of Beauty after she defeated 3,000 girls from 30 states. She holds the silver winner's cup.
