Romanian Marshal Ion Antonescu visits Romanian troops in the field, in Bessarabia, and presents medals to some. He speaks with individual soldiers and shakes hands with them. As their names are called, soldiers come forward to receive awards from Marshal Antonescu, as German General Erich von Manstein stands behind him. Marshal Antonescu and General von Manstein salute as they review marching Romanian troops, while a German military band plays. Antonescu strolls with high ranking German officers, and then makes more award presentations to Mountain troops. (World War II period).

German General von Manstein also congratulates the German award recipients. The Romanian Order of the Crown decoration is shown as pinned on a recipient officer's uniform blouse. As Marshal Antonescu prepares to leave, General von manstein presents him with an album of some sort. The two salute each other and Marshal Antonescu proceeds to board his Junker JU-52 aircraft for depature. A cresent moon and man's head wearing a fez, are painted on the cowling of the nose engine on the JU-52. Marshal Antonescu looks out the cabin window as the aircraft taxis out for takeoff. (World War II period).

One thinks old ways are better but another thinks more modern methods might be called for. A young Native American man sitting alone with with a young Native American woman, speaks about his decision to attend a White man's boarding school.

A school supervisor calls them together and introduces a physician, who tells them they look strong but could harbor germs. Doctor examines one of the boys, by tapping on parts of his upper body, as he explains what he is doing. He uses a stethoscope. He takes a chest Xray of the boy. The doctor removes the film and tells the boy he'll show it to him after it is developed.
