A man saddles his horse and brings another with him as he crosses a fenced area, past a man chopping wood. He stops near a young woman, named Nema, standing in front of a low log shelter. A young man, named Robert, says goodbye to her and to an older man named, Slow Talker, standing near a buckboard wagon. Robert climbs on the empty horse and canters away with the other rider. As they watch the riders depart, Slow Talker tells Nema, that Robert is forsaking the ways of his people. The riders continue across the desert landscape and then are seen walking up to a substantial building housing the boarding school. Robert enters as his companion bids him good luck. Robert is seen inside the school with text book open as he writes. Another scene shows him practicing in a forge, as part of his training. He cleans up in a lavatory.

Native American Indian (actor) galloping on horseback along desert trails amidst dramatic rock outcroppings in Western United States. He arrives at the fenced yard of a family on a Native American tribal reservation. A young Native American woman, weaving at a loom, in front of a small dwelling, asks about the health of her friend (who had been diagnosed with TB). The rider crouches near her grandfather, seated on the ground, who scoffs at the idea of the youth being sick. He harks back to the days of their ancestors. The girl suggests that rest may indeed be needed to overcome TB. The rider bearing news, coughs from time to time, and the girl suggests that he also see a doctor. He objects, saying he is strong.

King George V and Queen Mary attend thanksgiving service at St. Paul's Cathedral to celebrate Armistice ending World War I

James Bryce (1st Viscount Bryce) and Lady Bryce, are seen briefly, posing, in their old age. Then, Admiral William Sims, Commander of U.S. Naval Forces in Europe, is seen stepping from a car, in London, England. He poses with two of his staff officers. Change of scene shows a sunny day in London, and sidewalks packed with spectators, who cheer as a double-decker bus passes, carrying men in uniform on the top deck, waving flags and celebrating the armistice ending World War 1. The next scene shows Britain's Royals and notables proceeding under a canopy to Saint Paul's Cathedral for a thanksgiving service to celebrate the armistice. Among the many seen are: The Lord Mayor of London, Horace Brooks Marshall; members of Parliament; Military officers; the Rector of St. Paul's; King George V (in Navy uniform) and Queen Mary; and other dignitaries. After the service, the Rector is seen conversing with the King and Queen as they leave the cathedral. The next scene shows a British officer standing in front of a formation of Colonial officers. Spectators outside the cathedral are seen standing behind an English Bobbie (policeman). An American soldier is in the group. Final scenes show a memorial set up in a garden. Flags of the Allied nations are displayed at the top of the structure. British and American soldiers are arranging many flowers at the base of the memorial. American Expeditionary Forces arriving in France, during World War I

A large group of French women stand on a pier, waving American flags, as a troop ship arrives at a port in France, during World War 1. American Expeditionary Forces (AEF), soldiers of the U.S.1st Infantry Division, crowd her deck. The troops are seen leaving the ship by gangplank, and crowding the pier. They then assemble and march off. They proceed through dense crowds on both sides of their line of march. U.S. troops marching along a French city street are approached by French women expressing their appreciation. A French policeman walks with a bicycle, alongside the troops. French policemen march along, behind the Americans. Scene shifts to American soldiers playing musical instruments as others dance with women at an outdoor waterfront cafe, as they wait for transport. Allied officers are seen standing in front of a collection of canvas covered shelters, with a sign above, reading: "Camp Franco-Americain."
