After capitulation of Nazi forces in Italy, near the end of World War II, in Europe, a German Sturmgeschutz III tank destroyer (StuG III), is seen towing a 7.5 cm PaK 40 anti-tank gun, as it moves along street in Northern Italy. Italian local people watch from side of road. German and Italian National Republic troops begin repatriation. They board trucks, with their belongings. American soldiers check them for contraband, illegal goods and papers. Several Alpini (Alpine troops) in their tradition hats, are seen.
