First scene is a brief glimpse of General John J. Pershing, Commander of the American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) decorating several British military officers. The next sequence shows General Pershing conversing with Winston Churchill, at a social gathering in a park, on a pleasant sunny day, in London. The event is attended primarily by British military officers in uniform and their families, including spouses and children. Churchill and another man, both in top hats, are the only civilian officials noticeable at the gathering. There appear to be spectators standing in the background, and a London Bobbie is also seen. Wide, elevated view of city streets and buildings of Edinburgh, Scotland. Steel worker visits a Pub after the day's work. Men in the Mother Shipton Pub (possibly 1 Malden Road, Kentish Town, London NW5). Patrons drink beer and play darts. Bartender pours a cask ale from a tap. U.S. Air Force Non-Commissioned Officers seated at a table in the pub. One of them asks dart players if he can try. They assent and he throws several darts fairly skillfully, meeting with their approval. These scenes are followed by an Instructive narrative about the British political system accompanied by illustrated diagrams. Scenes include the floor of the House of Commons during session.
Scene from 1927 feature film about World War 1. British tank crosses a battlefield under fire. It is a Mk V tank with dummy guns fitted to simulate a fighting tank. British troops sheltering in a shell-hole recognize it as friendly and follow it towards enemy lines, where it rides over the parapet of a German trench and crushes a machine-gun position. (The tank is an anachronism; the Mark V did not enter service until 1918.)
