Henry Cotton wins inaugural Greenbrier Pro-Am golf tournament at The Greenbrier Resort in 1948

Winners are recognized and receive their awards at the inaugural Greenbrier Professional-Amateur (Pro-Am) golf tournament at The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The golf tournament, later known as the Same Snead Festival, finished on April 19, 1948, and served also as a marquee reopening event for The Greenbrier Resort following its use as a U.S. military hospital in World War 2. Meigs holds a silver tray prize commemorating the event. Henry Cotton receives $1800 prize money ($1000 as the top finishing professional with a par 70 score, plus $800 for team competition). UN delegates are seen gathering for a meeting of the Security Council at the temporary United Nations headquarters in Lake success, Long Island, New York. At TC: 00:54, He is seen standing with Secretary General Trygve Lie. And at TC:01:19 he gently uses a gavel. At TC:01:28, another delegate holds the gavel with him as they laugh. After a while, the delegates settle down and begin to conduct business.
