Crowds gathered to witness a trial outside the Foley Square federal courthouse in New York City. Davis, Jr., Eugene Dennis, John Gates, Gil Green, Gus Hall, Irving Potash, Jack Stachel, Robert G. Thompson, John Williamson, Henry Winston, and Carl Winter), arrested members of the National Board of the CPUSA, pose for a group photo. Another member was indicted but was not tried due to illness.

People run across the railway track before a train arrives with its engine emitting smoke. A man and a girl walk through narrow city streets with congested houses. After the day gets over workers return to their houses as their wives do household chores. A women pumps out water as another worker washes his dirty face and hands after a long days work. Smoke coming out from factories, houses and rail engines cause pollution and leads to environmental degradation.
