A religious ceremony held at Paris synagogue in Paris, France. The ceremony is held in memory of the Polish men who died in war. Rabbi Joseph Sachs, Polish Premier General Sikorsky, Ambassador Jules Lukasiewicz and staff of Embassy attend the service. Robert Philippe Gustave de Rothschild (President of Paris Jewish Consistory) and Édouard Alphonse James de Rothschild also known as Baron Édouard de Rothschild (President of Central Jewish Consistory) attend the service. Men come out of the synagogue after the ceremony is over. Polish President Wladyslaw Raczkiewicz talks to General Sikorsky. (World War 2 period).

Two British officials leave 10 Downing Street following a meeting of Prime Minister Chamberlain's War Cabinet. The Silhouette of them is seen as they pass through an archway. Next, Sir Howard Kingsley Wood, Secretary of State for Air, steps from Number 10, and walks close past the camera. Another official leaves the residence. He turns right and walks toward Horse Guards Road. Police make sure spectators stay on the sidewalk as he passes. Glimpse of a military officer leaving quickly, followed by a young official. The crowd standing dutifully, on the sidewalk (but just barely, all with their feet at the very edge). A man enters number 10 just as a uniformed messenger arrives. The man enters and the messenger makes his delivery and leaves. Lord Halifax, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, is seen leaving next, together with Leslie Hore-Belisha, British Secretary of State for War. The camera follows them as they walk along Downing Street and across Whitehall-Parliament Street. They pass pedestrians who stop to watch them. In the tense two weeks before Britain's declaration of war against Germany in World War 2, (occuring on September 3, 1939) the Evening Standard Newspaper of August 21, 1939 reports that the Premier sees the King; the Cabinet is to meet; Members of Parliament assemble to hear Chamberlain speak; and the Pope will broadcast peace pleas. Londoners are seen gathered in the areas around the Houses of Parliament. A woman carries a placard reading "Churchill." (She pushes it in front of the camera.) Rolls Royce limousines carrying cabinet ministers enter gates at Parliament courtyard. Bobbies contain peaceful crowds without difficulty. Occupants of one limousine are dressed in Arabian garb. Newspaper vendor displays headlines of Evening Standard reading: "Britons told to leave Germany." Cars carrying dignitaries continue into the Parliament courtyard. Several photographers snap photos as the cars pass them. A shot of the Elizabeth Tower at the north end of the Houses of Parliament, with the Great Clock clearly visible. The tower, clock and great bell (Big Ben) are often collectively referred to as"Big Ben." Routine busy commercial traffic moving on the street past Parliament. View from a high vantage point of double-decker buses moving past the Parliament courtyard, where crowd stands by the fence. Another official car enters the courtyard.

The first float in the Parade is called "Death Rides" and is an effigy of Death, as a cloaked skeleton, astride a gray horse, beating Nazi swastika drums. Another float , entitled: "Pearl Harbor", depicts a Japanese man (Hideki Tojo) stabbing Uncle Sam in the back prodded by other Axis leaders, German leader Adolf Hitler and Italian fascist leader Benito Mussolini. A Boy Scout Band marches and plays. Boy Scouts of America carry massed American flags. A huge crowd of spectators gathered on the sidewalks. Jeeps and tanks take part in parade. Units of Army and Navy participate in parade. A band of bagpipers in Scottish garb. British and American flags lead contingents of British troops. Unit of U.S. Womens Army Corps (WAC) parades. Policemen all along the line of march.
