At beginning camera gives shaky view of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris during World War 2. Then it shifts to an American army staff car driving along the Champs Elysee toward the Arch of Triumph. Next, General Dwight D. Eisenhower steps from the staff car, shakes hands with a U.S. army photographer, and walks among French people toward the base of the Arch of Triumph. Camera pans up to top of the arch. Back on the ground, Eisenhower is met by American and French military commanders and surrounded by a crowd of French civilians. He poses for a picture (viewing from left to right) unidentified U.S. Major General; Lieutenant General Omar Bradley, Dwight D. Eisenhower, French General Marie-Pierre Kœnig and British Air Marshal Arthur Tedder. The French Tricolor flies behind them. Camera pans upward to the top of the Arch of Triumph. The Allied commanders and General Eisenhower are surrounded by American soldiers and French civilians as Eisenhower gets into his staff car. View from trailing vehicle of his staff car passing the Place de la Bastille and proceeding through streets of Paris. Eisenhower is seen next, standing on the sidewalk, by his parked car, conversing with General Bradley, General Marie-Pierre Kœnig, and another French General. He shakes hands with a military photographer as he steps into his staff car, and shares a final hand shake with General Marie-Pierre Kœnig. U.S. Paratroopers land in Waco CG-4 glider and are helped by local citizens in Holland during World War II. B-24 bombers airdrop supplies and equipment.
As film begins, it shows three American paratroopers with a map, kneeling in a farm field, in Holland, during world War 2. They are consulting two local women kneeling beside them, who point it two directions. They all look up, aware of the camera. A Waco CG-4 glider is in the background, with its front hatch opened. Several paratroopers stand near it. Momentary glimpse of several troopers walking across the field toward their glider. Scene jumps back to the troopers and women, and then back, again, to troopers walking toward the glider. A local man ducks under the camera as it records the troopers crossing the field. Closer view of troopers gathered around the glider (its front hatch is closed), along with several local people, including the three women seen earlier. Soon, local people, including many youth gather around a trooper in a jeep that got stuck in a ditch. They try to free it. Several troopers ride in a horse-drawn cart. A formation of B-24 Liberator bombers is seen inflight overhead. Scene shifts back to troopers in the horse-drawn cart. Local youth with bicycles stand watching them. Remainder of the film shows various views of supplies and equipment being dropped by parachutes from the B-24s. (Likely during Operation Market Garden.)

Eisenhower seen on bridge of the British Royal Navy Leander-class light cruiser HMS Apollo with British Admiral Sir Bertram Home Ramsay, Naval Commander in Chief of the Allied Naval Expeditionary Force for the invasion. Landing craft approaches ship and General Omar N Bradley boards the HMS Apollo. He is greeted by General Eisenhower and Admiral Ramsey. Another craft nears the ship and British General Bernard L. Montgomery boards the HMS Apollo.

Next a two-seater training version of CAC Sabre aircraft from 79 Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force, is seen taxing beside the active runway. Pilot is in front cockpit only. A U.S. Air Force Kaman HH-43F Huskie (K-600) helicopter is seen carrying cargo underneath in a sling. It is passed by a fire truck moving near the active runwy. Final scene shows a McDonald F-101 Voodoo aircraft landing.
