It is dated June 1, 1939 and ostensibly signed by Adolf Hitler. Next, German Ju 87, Stuka dive bombers are shown peeling off from formation, on April 6, 1941, to attack Yugoslavia. German A-5 missile (precursor to A-4 or V-2 rocket) being loaded onto a carrier with the help of a hook at a rocket factory in Peenemunde, Germany. Workers cover the missile with a cloth cover after loading it into the truck. A worker paints the missile in its test tracking colors and then it is put into a big container for transporting it to test site. A truck loaded with the container carries the missile to a port. At the port, a carrier loaded with the container is detached from the vehicle and loaded on to the ship. Ship leaves the port for Greifwalder Oie.

Undersecretary of War, Robert Porter Patterson, Sr. speaks about a report from the General staff outlining the needs for combating Germany and Japan in World War 2. He cites Operation Husky, the invasion of Sicily, as an example of what will be needed. He continues to narrate in the background as an animated map appears showing the buildup of supplies and Allied forces in North Africa; Allied air forces flying 60 thousand sorties over Sicily and, the direct amphibious assault using 3,200 vessels.
