Mass funeral ceremony at Notre-Dame Cathedral (Parvis Notre-Dame – Place Jean-Paul-II, Paris) in Paris, France. Numerous draped coffins are laid outdoors on the esplanade of the Cathedral's West Front. Countless floral wreaths are placed alongside the coffins, including one identified as coming from the President of France Albert Lebrun. A plain stone monument stands above the scene, holding a plaque on which a list of names is engraved. Pall bearers carry flag-draped coffins across the esplanade to various designated places. A large group of mourners stands together, including two Catholic nuns wearing white cornettes. The ensuing ceremony is entirely military in nature and includes military band and marching soldiers.
