A large crowd of spectators gather to witness the launch of the 34000 ton ship Mauretania in Birkenhead, England. (This was the second ship RMS Mauretania.) Dignitaries at the ship yard perform the ceremonies as the crowd watches. People stand on the deck and the bow of ship leaning to watch the ceremony. The ship slides down into the Mersey River.

A procession of Mayor and Corporation to the Cathedral for the unveiling ceremony. Kennedy also forms part of the procession as it enters the Cathedral. Kennedy along with the priest walks to the Cathedral to sign visitor's book. Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy leave the Cathedral and arrive at deanery. Later they leave the deanery.
