Fire at a Whiskey warehouse in Glasgow, Scotland. A warehouse filled with 28 million dollars worth of scotch whiskey burns and explodes. Flames rise from the warehouse. Flames soar as whisky alcohol ignites. More than 19 fire fighters die and 40 more are injured fighting the fire.
Film demonstrates working of the Alcohol-O-Mat in Germany, a precursor to the modern breathalyzer. A drunk man comes out of a house drunk and smoking a cigarette. He gets into a Volkswagen convertible and drives dangerously. Next, we see the same man with Alcohol-O-Mat device installed in the car. The driver breathes into a large funnel and the device lights up, releases smoke, sounds a siren, and sprays water on the him because it has detected him to be intoxicated. "AlkoholOMat" is printed in German on the device. The driver leaves the Volkswagen and the woman accompanying him helps him to walk.
