Britain's Prime Minister Winston Churchill arrives in United States. He arrives on the 'Queen Mary' ship in New York harbor. Officials and other dignitaries greet him at the Army base in Brooklyn. Then he boards the President's airplane "Independence" at Floyd Bennett field to go to Washington DC. U.S. President Truman greets him at Bolling Field. U.S. Capitol and Washington Monument both visible in background. Churchill addresses the people at the airfield and talks about the harmony and close bonds between the two countries. Truman comments briefly also with words of agreement.
Senator Lodge tosses General Eisenhower's hat into the GOP ring during a press conference in Washington, United States. The press conference is at Eisenhower headquarters. Girls with Eisenhower's badges and 'I like Eisenhower' written on their legs. The senator says that the General is a Republican and therefore his name will be entered in New Hampshire primary.
Emperor Bao Dai visits the fighting front along the Black river in Vietnam, French Indo China. He decorates a soldier. An airplane parked on the field. Airplanes from the United States bomb Red positions, amid reports that Red China plans to invade Indo China.
