Film opens showing a U.S. Air Force F-100 in flight. Its SE tail code identifies it as belonging to the 416th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 31st Tactical Fighter Wing, out of Tuy Hoa, Vietnam. This is a two-seater F-100F training aircraft employed as a fast Forward Air Controller (FAC) in Operation Commando Sabre. Its back seat is empty.
