U.S. 9th Armored Division ceremony in Weiden, Bavaria, marking the end of World War II in Europe
Scene opens with closeup of Major General John W. Leonard, Commanding General of the U.S. 9th Armored Division, addressing his troops at the Schlörplatz in Weiden, Bavaria. He has assembled them to hear the news of Germany's surrender, ending World War 2, in Europe. A color Guard stands behind him. Upon hearing the news, the troops raise their arms and cheer, and partially break formation to converse with each other. They resume their formation and listen, as General Leonard continues to speak. Closeup of him reading from some notes. Scene shifts slightly, showing Leonard and the color guard in front of the Gustav von Schlör monument with famous old oak trees behind it. Next, the troops are viewed from the front, as they stand at Parade Rest with buildings near the square behind them. General Leonard walks down from the makeshift podium and passes in front of the assembled soldiers, and shakes hands with his Chief of Staff, Colonel Walter Burnside. Closeups of them shaking hands and conversing. Scene shifts to a unit Chaplain, giving a prayer of thanks for the end of hostilities. General Leonard and Colonel Burnside walk away from the gathering, as the color guard furls the colors. Suddenly an officer walks up on the grass and retrieves something from the base of the Schlör monument and quickly walks back into the square. A Captain has the color guard unfurl the colors again, which include the stars and stripes flanked by the Division colors and the General's two star flag. Next the entire assemblage poses as they are photographed from a high point some yards away. The view shows the color guard standing on grass in front of the Schlör monument with the massive oaks behind, surrounded by assembled troops, including some in a tank. Scene shifts to rear of the assembly, showing troops in armored vehicles at the back of troops in formation. Some armor is moving along a road behind the assembly. Another long shot of the assembled troops is followed by a closeup of them being called to attention. General Leonard walks into the center of the assembly, followed by several officers. They salute the colors and General Leonard converses with the Division Chaplain, who then steps into the grass in front of the color guard, where he removes his helmet, raises his arm, and gives a benediction as all bow their heads. (Note: Armored vehicles seen in this film include M4 Sherman and M36 Tank Destroyer.)

Film opens with February 1st, 1967 Change of Command Ceremony for Commanders in Chief of U.S. Air Force Strategic Air Command (SAC). General John Dale Ryan is assuming command from General Joseph J. Nazzaro. A color guard stands with American flag flanked by flags of Air Force, SAC, units, and award ribbons. A military marching band marches in front of a stage (reviewing stand) where Generals and guests are seated, including Generals Nazarro and Ryan, plus the Commanders of SAC's three Air Forces. Civilian leaders present included Nebraska Governor and Mrs. Norbert Tiemann. Closeup of General Ryan. View of Governor and Mrs. Tiemann standing amongst six Air Force Generals. A traditional ceremony for change of command ensues. The flag of outgoing General Nazzaro is furled and cased and the flag of incoming General Ryan is unfurled and uncased. The flag ceremony completes as the two Generals exchange positions. Views of Generals and guests. Closeup of General Nazzaro.The band plays and marches and a contingent of U.S. airmen march in review. General Nazzaro renders them a parting salute and then he and Ryan shake hands and both turn to greet the Governor and his wife.

Crew of a U.S. Air Force Strategic Air Command (SAC) aerial refueling KC-135 tanker aircraft stand on a stage. They stand at attention as a Lieutenant Colonel at a podium reads the citation accompanying their award , in recognition of a unique refueling mission they performed during the Vietnam War. The crew members are Major John H. Casteel, Aircraft Commander; Captain Richard L. Trail, Pilot; Captain Dean L. Hoar, Navigator; and Master Sergeant Nathan C. Campbell, Boom Operator. During Operation "Daisy Chain," they performed the first ever three-level aerial refueling operation that saved six carrier-based U.S. Navy aircraft critically low on fuel, over the Gulf of Tonkin. Dr. Sidney Cohen, an LSD expert, talks about the studies done by the CIA on LSD, and other hallucinogens, and how persons serving as drug test subjects for the CIA became some of the main advocates for the use of LSD in the 1960s. U.S. President Eisenhower arrives in India and is greeted by President Rajendra Prasad and Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
India give U.S. President Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower the greatest acclaim. People crowd at an airport. Ike climbs down a ladder. Indian President Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru greet him. Flags of the United States and India. Indian soldiers stand in a squad. U.S. President escorted by an Indian officer reviews the soldiers. Men with cameras at the podium. People around the podium at New Delhi airport. U.S. President gets into a car. On the third day of his visit he opens an agricultural fair. Both the Presidents seated at a podium. An elephant garlands Ike's daughter- in- law Barbara Jean Thompson and son John Sheldon Doud Eisenhower. They take an elephant ride. Young children look at them and wave. They attend a party at the Mughal Gardens in which Ike scores a brilliant triumph.

Pacific campaign of World War II in Mariana Islands. Major John Hussey, Commanding Officer of the Army Air Force 73rd Fighter Squadron, 318th Fighter Group briefs his pilots before take off from the Escort Carrier, USS Manila Bay (CVE-61), for their flight to Aslito Field (Isley Field) Saipan. Pilots standing or in kneeling position grouped around the Major as he conducts briefing. Two mechanics as they haul a belly tank out and attach it to the underside of P-47 Thunderbolt aircraft. Naval and Air Force men prepare the planes for take off. Pilots grouped around, talking and smiling. Lt. Joseph J. DeVona stands on wing of his P47D # 31 "Empire Express" while maintenance personnel work on ammunition located in wing. Signal operator for the carrier signaling a P-47 to pull out in position for catapulting. Navy starter gives signal to the pilot for take off. P-47 is moved up into position on catapult, catapult attached to underside of P-47, and plane is readied for catapulting. Navy personnel as they give the various hand signals concerning the movement of plane to fit it into the right position for take off from carrier. Starter as he signals to the pilot and plane is catapulted from the carrier. Lt. Alford Babcock is seen in the cockpit of his P-47 named: "My Baby" as it is catapulted from the carrier. Several other P-47s are seen being catapulted from the Manila Bay. Several flights of P-47s are seen and a large formation of 12 P-47s in flight over water.
