Completely worn out tires are stacked to be used for other purposes including shoes for soldiers. German prisoners of war are shown making new shoes using reclaimed rubber. German POWs are also shown processing old coats and repairing them for reuse by American soldiers in World War 2. Narrator explains that unusable coats become typewriter covers.
