It arrives at a dock is made secure by sailors. Vice Admiral Eberle then steps to the dock, followed by a Captain, a Commander, and several other naval officers, who line up on the dock They exchange salutes with the Admiral, who then ascends stairs followed by his retinue. The last scene is reconstituted and re-filmed. This time, naval staff officers are lined up beside the launch. They salute as Admiral Eberle steps from the launch, followed only by a staff Lieutenant Commander. The admiral then proceeds up steps, followed by officers on his staff. Another scene shows Admiral Eberle, standing on the dock with senior members of his staff behind him.

YB-10 bomber (tail number 151) takes off from Patterson Field, Ohio, heading for Washington, DC, the official starting point for the operation. A few Martin YB-10 aircraft taxiing at Bolling Field, Washington, DC (20 MacDill Blvd SE, Washington, DC 20032, USA). Several Martin YB-10 bombers parked in a line, with ground crews attending them. Chief of the United States Air Corps, General Benjamin Delahauf Foulois; United States Assistant Secretary of War Harry Woodring and Commander of the Alaska Flight, Colonel Henry H. Arnold, stand along with the Alaska Flight pilots, in front of a project airplane, number 143, painted with the project logo: an eagle perched over a map of Alaska. United States Army Air Force footage of a helicopter designed by Emile Berliner and Henry Berliner being tested in Washington D.C.,United States. This was one of the final Berliner models built, if not the final, constructed after the triplane model 5 variant that had been demonstrated in February of 1924. This variant had a biplane configuration and was lighter to improve the thrust to weight ratio. The lower wing generated lift from the rotor downwash due to a high angle of incidence and large camber. The helicopter repeatedly lifts off, hovers, does some forward movement, and then touches the ground.
Using a beaker labeled crude oil, a man demonstrates that it yields petroleum products of 30% gasoline, 20% kerosene, and 42% lubrication oil and wax, and 5% coke. Animated diagram shows layers of rock and wells being drilled to various depths to tap oil reservoirs, avoiding water pockets. Another chart shows successive layers of natural gas, oil and salt water that may be encountered. On the surface, the boiler, mud pond, derrick, engine and pump are identified at drilling site. Well casing, drill and movement of drilling products are illustrated.
