Ice boats in full sail in Lake George. A crew of ice boats seen on ice. Men and women pass by as snow falls on them. An automobile runs on ice.
People sled in sledding lanes in Lake George. Toboggans move down lanes. A child is covered by an elder as they board a toboggan for sledding. All around snow is seen.
Ringling Barnum and Bailey circus clowns are seen cavorting about, near tents and riding on floats. Famous clown Emmett Kelly, doffs his hat from one of the floats. A trembling clown seen tight rope walking. Clowns bring out an "Adam Smasher" and put a clown inside and drop an object on his head. Men perform on a rope. Clowns laugh. Flash forward to Clown College in Venice, Florida where Bill Ballantine, famous ex-clown and Dean of Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus Clown College, addresses a group of aspiring applicants who want to become clowns. A group of people learning to become clowns. People make-up and dress like clowns and perform. Two clowns with Ringling Brothers, Victor Rutz and Herbert Ledesma speak to the show host about being clowns, the frequency of shows, and the challenge of keeping people laughing. They make-up the show host as a clown. Clip finishes with a short bit featuring Legendary Master Clown Lou Jacobs performing with his chihuahua, Knucklehead.
The Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus Clown College in Venice Florida. Clowns perform for the camera. They are seen emerging from two different cars, in two different circus acts. Clown after clown emerges from each car, one is a Volkswagen Beetle. Clowns performing after they get out of the cars.
Men gather at the bank of Niagara river. George L Stathakis enters a large, customized barrel along with his small pet turtle. The lid of the barrel is tightly closed. The barrel is then released in the river close to the Niagara Falls waterfall. Barrel moves in the water and enters the water fall. It drops down along the falls. After crossing the waterfall the barrel is taken out to the river bank. George Stathakis does not emerge. He has died, smothered in the barrel during the stunt. A man takes out the 150 year old turtle from the barrel and shows it to the crowd. It is unharmed.
Face of George Washington appears clearly on the mountain. Blasting near the emerging face followed by eruption of smoke and dust. Two workers are lowered down near the eyes and nose of George Washington's face to carry out finishing touch. Separate sculpture shown at end of clip appears to be a small scale model of what the completed Mount Rushmore work will look like (but it is not very much like the final work).
