British Army Engineer troops are seen laying and setting sections of railroad track in the desert, during the Palestine campaign of World War 1. The materials needed are carried by a flatcar which moves along the new track as it is installed. Several of the troops rest momentarily, next to a steam locomotive that has been backing the supply train along the track.
