A map of the South West Pacific area depicts islands of New Britain and New Ireland as the chief objectives of the Americans. By taking over these islands the Japanese would be isolated in the area. But a strong defense zone around these islands proves to be the main deterrent. U.S. officers including U.S. Army General Douglas MacArthur discuss the strategy to attack and isolate the Japanese in the South West Pacific region. Animated map of the region depicts American plan to capture the Admiralty Island by attacking the island of Manus and Los Negros to be followed by an attack in Madang in New Guinea. This would result in isolation of New Britain and New Ireland and weaken apanese position in the region.
U.S. Brigadier General Ira Eaker leads B-17 raid on Rouen, France, during World War 2
U.S. Army Air Force armorers ride atop bombs on trolleys, being pulled by a tug on an airfield in England during World War 2. Airmen gather around a bomb as one writes in chalk, "To Schicky (referring to Hitler family, Schickelgruber) this is only the start, Love, L.E.Z." Views of Airmen rolling bombs on carts under a B-17E aircraft. View from inside a B-17 as ground crews look up through open bomb bay doors. B-17 combat crewmen walking and riding bicycles, to attend a mission briefing. Inside the assembled aircrews are briefed by a British RAF officer, who says, "We're going to work. The target is XZ 462." He goes on providing details to be followed by aircrews. The crews leave the briefing room. Next, B-17s are seen taxiing out for takeoff. The lead aircraft is "Yankee Doodle" piloted by Brigadier General Ira Eaker. Another is "Stinky." Next is "Little Skunk Face."And the last one "Berlin Sleeper." Ground crews watch as the B-17 bombers take off and assemble into formation overhead. Views from inside a B-17 as bombs fall and its gunners fight off German fighter planes. Bombs seen falling and exploding on the ground and raising clouds of smoke. Glimpse of gunners firing at attacking German aircraft. Narrator states there is anti-aircraft fire all around them, that jolts the aircraft. The B-17s assemble in formation for the flight home. Back at the base, some wait atop the tower for the returning aircraft. General Ira Eaker, Chief of the U.S. VIII Bomber Command, steps from a returning aircraft, and greets Major General Carl Spaatz, Commander of the 8th Air Force. Final scene shows Brigadier General Eaker, smoking a cigar and surrounded by civilian and military reporters. ( Note: Reportedly, the B-17 "Stinky" crash landed in Athenry Co Galway Ireland on the 15th January 1943 with General Jacob Devers and a party of other Generals onboard, but none were injured and and all arrived safely at 2AM the same day, in Belleek, Northern Ireland.)

Three U.S. Sailors are seen asking bus information from a policeman in front of the Northern Bank building on Shipquay Place, Derry, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, during World War 2. He converses with them and points toward a bus stop (not seen) and checks his watch as they leave, following his directions. Scene shifts away, from Northern Ireland, to the newly opened American Rainbow Corner Red Cross Club at 23 Shaftesbury Avenue, W.I., London, England. U.S. soldiers mingle with English civilians on the street and sidewalks. Many soldiers enter the club. Civilian vehicles drive along Shaftsbury Avenue. A civilian in front of the club hands out travel brochures and tickets to servicemen. A group of U.S. soldiers strolls out of the club. Closeup of the American flag flying at front of the club. Unemployed men and women from Scotland, Wales, Midlands and the South march to London during the Great Depression. Signs seen include, 'Scotland vs. London,' 'National Hunger March,' 'Revolutionary United Mineworkers of Scotland,' and 'We are Against Starvation.' Slate at head of film reads, 'Jobless Hordes End Weary Dole March at Parliament Gate.' Sign in background within village reads, 'The Castle Restaurant.' Research suggests this is the The Castle Restaurant on Norwich Road, Caister-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth Norfolk, NR30 5JN This section of film ends with views of Parliament Building and Clock Tower in London. (Background to the next section of film: In Ireland a so-called Outdoor Relief Strike, supported by the Falls and the Shankhill united, Catholics and Protestants, was launched by the unemployed of Belfast. On Oct 3, 1932, 60 thousand attended a torchlight meeting at the Customs House in Belfast Ireland, to protest relief levels. Sporadic looting and rioting ensued in the following days and more mass demonstrations were planned for Oct 11th.) Film picks up on Wednesday October 5, 1932 as the Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) attempt to maintain order. A series of street scenes is shown in which the RUC has begun patrolling. Officers are seen patrolling in Lancia armored car No. 105, with a machine gunner on top. Another Lancia armored car (No. 33) patrols near a park at the corner of Stage Street, Belfast. Boys are seen running across cobblestone streets where they have piled up stones for use in rioting. An RUC Crossly tender truck, carrying several police officers, drives along a Belfast street. View of an empty street where piles of stones and slates obstruct the roadway. Pedestrians appear to be going about their daily affairs as usual. (The primary mischief makers seem to be youths.) Final scene is that of a funeral. (In the course of the week's troubles, two of the rioters were shot dead by the RUC.) A horse-drawn hearse carries at least one. But behind it is a group of pallbearers also carrying a coffin. The street behind is filled with masses of mourners.
