A United States Cost Guard HH-52 practices emergency operations during training

Training operations being conducted by United States Coast Guard HH-52A Seaguard (Search and Rescue helicopter) in the United States. A USCG HH-52 demonstrates a full autorotation to the water, lands on water, shuts down the rotor head (with the rotor brake, and engine at flight idle), helicopter rotates 90 degrees (due to the torque on the rotor blades), and then release the rotor brake and water taxis. It moves over the water surface. Boat in water in the background. The helicopter maneuvers for a while close to the shore. Several people watch from rocks on the shore. Finally, the HH-52 leans forward and flies away.
