People pay tribute to gallant fighting ship 'USS San Francisco' (CA-38) eight years after the Battle of Guadacanal. A large crowd gathered at the ceremony to honor USS San Francisco named after the city. Survivors and next of kin who died in the Battle present. A plaque commemorating the Battle is unveiled.
