Archbishop Francis Cardinal Spellman visits U.S. troops in Korea. A sanctuary is set up under a large tent. The Archbishop, dressed in Army gear, conveys greetings to large group of soldiers gathered before the tent. Soldiers line up to kiss Archbishop's ring. Several women in uniform are among those meeting the Cardinal. Photographers take pictures. Cardinal Spellman, wearing traditional clerical vestments, conducts mass and administers the sacrament of holy communion to numerous soldiers.
U.S. Army H-19 Helicopter approaches an Allied military camp in Pusan (Busan) area in South Korea, and lands on a pierced steel plank pad. It keeps engines running and rotors turning as several foreign allied officers climb out. U.S. Army military police (MPs) surround the helicopter and begin unloading what look like wooden footlockers. One MP checks off items on a clipboard. Two more foreign Allied officers get off the helicopter (one is a woman). Allied troops at the base help them into a car, and they drive away. A line of 6 MPs carries 5 of the offloaded boxes, across snowy ground. American soldiers standing around, watching, take photographs.
