The Colonel speaks about the C-5 as part of the Air Force strategic airlift fleet comprising C-5s, C-141s and the CRAF (Civil Reserve Airlift Fleet). Asked about the impact of the C-5, he mentions the variety of military equipment it is capable of carrying worldwide. He mentions how C-5s and C-141 aircraft were able to move a complete U.S. Air Force Tactical Fighter Wing to Thailand in 9 days.He contrasts that to more than a month required for a similar move during the Korean war.
